Shirley Canyon is a gorgeous half-day hike with views of lush wildflowers, 3 waterfalls along the trail, granite boulders, and Shirley Lake. This is one of our top Truckee/Tahoe Summer hikes to enjoy. The trail is dog-friendly but challenging with a total elevation gain of 2,000 feet, so plan for at least 3 hours to complete this hike. The hike is 3 miles to Shirley Lake, and another 2 miles to High Camp. If you plan to take the tram back down, be sure to check the tram schedule in advance (the tram is closed through June 17th, 2022 for maintenance). More Information
